Hi Friends!
Can you believe it's the last day of 2024?
Thank God we made it!
In 2024, I was able to read through the entire Bible. I’m not telling you this to brag or boast. I wasn’t even trying to read the entire Bible, but every week, I prayed to God and asked him what he wanted me to read, and each week, he led me to different books of the Bible.
Some weeks, I read through or listened to more than one book, which led to me completing the entire Bible in the year.
And don’t sleep on the Old Testament. I found many great treasures in God’s word and learned so much! It was amazing!
And I encourage you to do the same.
As you do this, ask God for understanding, wisdom, knowledge, insight, and discernment as you read through His word. He will help you understand it.
Also, ask Him how to apply the word to your life.
One of the treasures I found in the Bible was in Deuteronomy 28:1-14. I encourage you to read it in its entirety.
Here are a few select verses:
“If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.”
“All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.”
“Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.”
Let’s Pray!
Dear God,
Let us fully obey you and carefully follow your commands. Please let all our blessings come and accompany us wherever we go. Please let us be blessed in the city and country. Please bless the fruit of our wombs. Please bless our crops, land, and livestock. Let everything we do be blessed. Please bless us in our jobs and careers. Please bless us in our businesses. Let us glorify you in all we do and not ourselves. Please let us be blessed coming in and going out. Please let our enemies be defeated before us. Please send a blessing on everything we do. Please establish us as your holy people. Please let us walk in obedience to you. Let all people see that we are called by your name. Please bless us with abundant prosperity. Please open the heavens and the storehouse of your bounty, send the rain on our land in season, and bless all the work of our hands. Please let us be lenders and not borrowers. Please deliver us of all our debt. Please make us the head and not the tail. Please let us be at the top and never the bottom. Let us never turn away from your commands. Let us never follow other gods.
